Computer scientist and mathematician with four peer-reviewed publications in commutative algebra and a growing focus on optimization and machine learning. ICPC World Finalist (2024). IMO Honorable Mention (2017).
I am a computer scientist and mathematician currently completing a second-year master's degree in Mathematics, Vision, and Learning (MVA) at ENS Paris-Saclay as a recipient of the FSMP Excellence Scholarship. Over the course of four years, I conducted research in factorization theory — a subfield of commutative algebra — resulting in four publications in international journals under the mentorship of Dr. Felix Gotti (MIT).
My current interests lie in exploring connections between fundamental mathematics — algebra, combinatorial optimization, and stochastic processes — and modern machine learning. I am currently interning at Air Liquide, where I am developing a stochastic optimization framework for inventory management, combining MDP modeling with neural-network-driven combinatorial optimization.
Previously, I was an instructor and researcher at the University of Havana, where I taught Data Structures and Algorithms. I have also worked in blockchain development and cryptographic research (Nethermind) and full-stack engineering (React, .NET, Node.js).
Outside of research, I have been active in competitive programming and mathematics competitions. I represented Cuba at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in 2017, earning an Honorable Mention, and reached the World Finals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) in 2024.
Designing a stochastic optimization framework for cylinder inventory management (~1,500 products). Formalized as a multi-product MDP with shared capacity constraints. Built an anticipative MILP Oracle, a COAML policy architecture (neural network + combinatorial optimization layer), and the full Python pipeline on three years of real data.
Built and maintained web applications with React and TypeScript. Designed responsive frontends, implemented backend logic, and developed API integrations across the full stack.
Taught Data Structures and Algorithms, Advanced DSA (ICPC training), and Introduction to Programming with Python. Conducted research in factorization theory within commutative algebra, collaborating on peer-reviewed publications.
Contributed to smart contract development, cryptographic protocol research (SNARGs), and Ethereum node deployment on the EigenLayer.
API development (.NET), database management (PostgreSQL), third-party integrations, frontend (React), and DevOps.
